The New York Open Center certification program includes:
- 14 days Classroom Training
- 27 - 90-minute TeleClasses
- 9 hours Mentor Coaching - getting feedback on coaching skills
- 12 hours Peer Coaching Practice
- 6 - 12 hours Coaching-Practicum - Skills Application
- Final exam demonstrating your coaching competencies
- 6 months of coaching five clients of your choice (recommended, but not required)
- 6 months working with your own certified coach (recommended, but not required)
Coaching that Works trains and certifies coaches who have completed 140 hours of training. These training hours exceed the 125 hours of coaching skills training required to apply for the International Coach Federation (ICF) coaching credential.

This Personal and Professional Coaching training is a 140-hour program that leads to a Certification as a Professional Coach. It is at the forefront of coaching training and offers a concentration in a holistic approach to coaching.
