Coaching for Transformation

If you have a deep desire to help people realize their potential, trust themselves, create from their core, manifest their vision, and fulfill their goals, this program will provide the tools and experience. If you want to start a successful coaching business, this training will get you started with the nuts and bolts needed to build a thriving practice.

The New York Open Center certification program includes:

  • 14 days Classroom Training
  • 27 - 90-minute TeleClasses
  • 9 hours Mentor Coaching  - getting feedback on coaching skills
  • 12 hours Peer Coaching Practice
  • 6 - 12 hours Coaching-Practicum - Skills Application
  • Final exam demonstrating your coaching competencies
  • 6 months of coaching five clients of your choice (recommended, but not required)
  • 6 months working with your own certified coach (recommended, but not required)

Coaching that Works trains and certifies coaches who have completed 140 hours of training. These training hours exceed the 125 hours of coaching skills training required to apply for the International Coach Federation (ICF) coaching credential.

Coaching for Transformation

This Personal and Professional Coaching training is a 140-hour program that leads to a Certification as a Professional Coach. It is at the forefront of coaching training and offers a concentration in a holistic approach to coaching.

 
Whether you’re a coach, teacher, consultant, social worker, nurse, manager, or any other leader, you can use this program to help people create a better future. Therapists, in particular, increasingly find coaching tools a valuable complement to their practice. If you have a commitment to social responsibility in business, government, or your personal life, then the skills and experience provided by this training will deepen your effectiveness.

1.   Coaching Foundation

           Creating conscious community

           Core Principles and Coaching Process Model

           Self-focused, Client-centered, and Transformational Listening

           Learning the coaching skills

2.   Body, Mind, Emotional, and Spiritual Awareness

           Accessing inner wisdom through body awareness

           Impact of emotional awareness

           Suspending judgment and using natural openings

           Self-management

3.   Clarifying what’s Important, Vision, and Strategy

           Client’s Presenting, Deeper, and Transformational Agenda

           Values and their experiential origins

           Needs awareness

           Creating completion and integrating experience

           Visualization, inquiry, creative expression

           Vision into action, planning, prioritizing, and accountability

           Appreciative inquiry

4.   Business of coaching

           Vision and values as a core for your coaching business

           Integrating coaching into existing life and work

           Structures of a coaching business

           Overview of the various roles of coaching in corporations

           Beginning your plan

 

5.   Expanding what is Possible and Experiencing the Moment

     Identifying a client’s viewpoint

     Expanding viewpoint of what is possible using inner and outer resources

     A coaching model for working with emotions

     Present moment awareness

     Referring clients to other helping professionals

     Making what no longer serves the client conscious

 

6.   Soul and Spirit in Coaching

     Coaching outside the box of the known

     Accessing the core self, its expression, and contribution in the world

     Using Earth-based and Eastern models to inform one’s coaching
